It’s time to eradicate corruption: IG Bhoi

Ganjam : The vigilance awareness and oath taking programme has been conducted in the conference hall of BeMC. The vigilance Sp Berhampur Ganesh Ch. Pradhan presided the program where the Southern division IG Satyabrata Bhoi attended as the chief guest. In his speech the chief guest Sri Bhoi said that after the formation “MO SARKAR” under 5T all the departments of the Govt have been strong enough in the field of vigilance to eradicate corruption through Transparency. So in order to do away with the corruption from the society especially in government public officers from the grassroot level everybody should extend their helping and cooperative hands. The country which is corruption free has become the developed nation. As long as corruption is there no nation can develop. Hence it is the call of the day to do away with the corruption from the grassroots level to the developed nation. The other guest of honour J. Sonal the BeMC Commissioner in his speech said that now the time and circumstances have been changed. Now the state is a head of progressing to be a developed state for which every citizen should be proud of it. Yet we have to work hard to achieve our goal. It can be possible only if there would be transparency and corruption free administration. Another guest of honour the SP Berhampur Saravana Vivek M predicted that the vigilance dept has been started in the year 1944 prior to our independence. About more than 4 decades of time there has been a great change in the vigilance dept with now technology to identify the corruption and taking drastic action against the employees indulged in corruption like dismiss from the service, stopping of pension, imprisonment. Among others chief speaker of the occasion prof. S.S padhi dept of odia of K.K University in his speech told that there was no corruption in the reign of King “JANAKA” during the “Tretaya Yuga” king janaka was ruling over his kingdom according to the need of the public in his state which was really the king was by the public, of the public and for the public. Likewise today it is the time and challenge for us to be king “JANAK”. In order the create vigilance awareness among the future citizen different competition like essay, debate, song, drawing were organised among Schools and colleges level students. Under the direction of District Information and Public Relations Officer Rabi Narayan Behera, the students of Saraswati Vidyamandir, Nilokantha nagar sang Vande Mataram in the opening band. At last, vigilance SP Sri Pradhan gave vote of thanks.
