The blower rotor had rendered service of 25 years and had immensely contributed in hot metal production at Blast Furnaces. It has an emotional connect with the employees of Captive Power Plant. Hence installation of the monument was an effort to conserve the equipment.
The monument was conceptualized and constructed under the leadership of Mr. S L Das, GM In-charge (CPP-3) under the guidance of Mr. B Sunil Kartha.
