Kantabanji/Balangir: Panic gripped locals after a banner giving death threat to Kantabanji MLA Santosh Singh Saluja surfaced in Odisha’s Balangir district today. The white poster, which had a picture of an unidentified youth, claimed to eliminate the Congress legislator in the next 15 days and was seen outside a shop near Kantabanji Girls High School.
After the poster surfaced, local residents expressed their unhappiness at the distasteful act. “This is unacceptable. Whoever has done it should not have done it. Such an act against an MLA is objectionable,” said Anil Pathak, a local.
Meanwhile, police have seized the banner and started investigation into the incident.
